Safe Ride is a University of Maryland, Baltimore Police Department (UMBPD) service that helps our community get to their destination safely. We want you to feel confident getting into the van with our Safe Ride drivers.

Our Safe Ride drivers are dedicated UMBPD security officers. All UMBPD employees undergo a background check before being hired. Using a Safe Ride on UMB's campus and in surrounding neighborhoods is safer than any rideshare - you know who you're getting in the van with!
