    UMB is celebrating Campus Sustainability Month this October with a variety of events and activities.

  • Community Compost Collection

    UMB has begun collecting food scraps at the CEC (Wednesdays from 2:30 - 5:30 pm) and Campus Center (Thursdays from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm).

  • NexTrex Challenge

    UMB aims to collect 500 lbs. of plastic film and bags between July 1, 2023 and January 1, 2024 as part of the NexTrex Challenge.

  • Green Labs

    Learn about the steps for participating and incentives available for research labs on campus.

  • UMB Free

    UMB FREE (Food Recovery + Environmental Eating) is a food rescue initiative aiming to minimize food waste and feed students at UMB.

  • Self-Service Waste Rollout

    UMB is rolling out a new model for waste collection in buildings across campus to improve waste diversion and recycling.

A focus on sustainability allows our campus community to be successful and grow while understanding the impact of how our modern lives influence the world around us.
