Grants and Funding

The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ODEI) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) offers two funding opportunities that advance equity, diversity, and inclusion consistent with UMB's Core Values; Theme 3: University Culture, Engagement, and Belonging of UMB 2022-2026 Strategic Plan; and UMB’s Diversity Strategic Plan

The Be JEDI Innovation Grant is an interprofessional/interdisciplinary funding opportunity for projects that advance Belonging (Be) and Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (Be JEDI) at UMB. 

The Faculty Champions of Change professional development funding will assist full-time faculty underrepresented in their discipline who steward equity, diversity, or inclusion for the UMB community with opportunities to expand and deepen their knowledge.

Grants

The purpose of the Be JEDI Innovation Grant is to enhance belonging, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion at UMB through education, research, service, climate, or leadership outcomes and to support and advance the UMB Strategic Plan, with a particular focus on Theme 3: University Culture, Engagement, and Belonging PDF and the integration of core values of equity and justice at UMB.

Funding

The Faculty Champions of Change Professional Development Funding aims to provide resources to full-time UMB faculty who are underrepresented in their discipline and are champions of equity, diversity, inclusion, belonging, or justice for the UMB community and surrounding communities.
