Applicants needing federal and institutional financial assistance to help with the cost of attending a school or program at UMB must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Please note:

  • Students must complete a FAFSA for every academic year they wish to receive assistance.
  • The 2023-2024 FAFSA covers the 2023-2024 Academic Year (Summer 2023, Fall 2023 and Spring 2024).
  • USFA strongly encourages completing the FAFSA at studentaid.gov no later than March 1st for priority consideration. UMB School Code: 002104

Estimated Cost of Attendance

The Cost of Attendance (COA) is the maximum amount of financial assistance available to a student in one academic year. The COA is based on residency and the flat-rate tuition charges for students enrolled in 12-14 credits per semester. Students enrolled part-time will have their COA adjusted based on the per credit tuition rate. 

Applicants are awarded 100% of the Cost of Attendance with assistance from federal and institutional resources. Scholarships are awarded by the Carey School of Law Office of Admissions (admissions@law.umaryland.edu).
