Todd L. Parchman, MBA

Parchman is partner, co-founder, and investment banker for Parchman, Vaughan & Co., LLC, an investment banking firm in Baltimore. Before founding the company in 1996, he managed investment banking at Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc., and served on its Board of Directors. He began his career at First National Bank of Chicago’s First Scholar program and later joined Northwest Corp., where he became a senior vice president. After Northwest, he founded Signet Investment Banking Corp. and served as its senior managing director. Parchman holds an MBA in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina, where he was a Morehead Scholar.

Parchman has served on the board of several publicly held and privately owned companies. Additionally, he serves on the President’s Advisory Council at Stevenson University, is a trustee of the Conserve School Trust, a former trustee of the Culver Educational Foundation and the Youth Outreach Foundation, Inc., and recently served on the boards of the Education Industry Association and the US Lacrosse Foundation. He chaired the advisory board of the city of Baltimore’s Board of Finance and the Baltimore City campus of Johns Hopkins University’s School of Continuing Studies. He has taught corporate finance and negotiation at Johns Hopkins and St. Thomas College. His wife, Bryn, retired as president and CEO of Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore after 20 years, and currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Global Refuge, one of the largest providers of re-settlement serves to refugees around the world. 

Parchman has served on the UMBF Board of Trustees since 2017.
