Ramsha Ajaz (Primary Senator)

Ramsha is a nursing student, as well as a first-generation college student in her family. She is originally from Pakistan but grew up right here in Maryland. She did her prerequisites at Howard Community College and graduated with an Associate of Arts in General Studies. Ramsha hopes to eventually specialize in anesthesia, although she is open to other possibilities and is very excited to learn about different paths as well.

Katy Ward
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Kathryn Ward grew up in Towson, Maryland before moving to College Park to complete her first two years of undergrad at UMD. There she worked as a research assistant at the addiction science lab and volunteered a pregnancy center. She spent the past summer studying abroad in Spain before moving to Baltimore where she is currently a first semester BSN student. After graduation she hopes to work in a pediatric ICU before pursing a doctorate in nurse anesthesiology. She enjoys swimming, cooking, and travel.

Liana Kaplan

Liana is a second-semester undergraduate student at the School of Nursing. Before coming to UMSON, she completed her prerequisite courses at The University of Maryland, College Park. She now works in the Emergency Department at GBMC as a student nurse. In her free time, she enjoys watching House Hunters, off-roading, and going on hikes with her dogs. After graduation, she plans on working and then going back to graduate school to earn her DNP in Nurse Anesthesia.

Kayla Smith-Bradley (Primary Senator)
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Kayla is a fourth-semester nursing student who will be graduating this December from the BSN program. She has been a USGA senator for three semesters and is now the primary senator representing the undergraduate program. Before coming to UMSON, she completed her prerequisites at Howard Community College. She enjoys hiking, baking and volunteering with the Special Olympics. After graduation, Kayla will be working on the Cardiac Care Unit at University of Maryland Medical Center as a nurse.
