Institutions of higher learning must distribute reports concerning campus crime statistics and campus security policies on an annual basis to all current and prospective students, faculty, and staff.

The University of Maryland, Baltimore Police Department (UMBPD) is committed to transparency and accountability. While many of the crime and safety statistics we release are required by law, we go above and beyond to ensure this information is clear and complete. We also encourage feedback and suggestions from our community.

Our Crime and Fire Log includes information about criminal incidents and alleged criminal incidents that have been reported to the UMBPD within the past 60 days. 

We also provide 10+ years of Crime and Internal Affairs Statistics. Since the UMBPD has concurrent jurisdiction with the Baltimore Police Department, statistics from both departments are combined in our report.
