DEA National Take-Back Initiative

Scheduled through the Drug Enforcement Administration, the UMB Police Department works with the School of Pharmacy to collect expired/unused prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs.  Please click here for disposal options.

Polar Bear Plunge

Each year, our officers, along with officers from throughout the state, support the Maryland Special Olympics by participating in the Polar Bear Plunge by jumping into the frigid waters of the Chesapeake Bay.

Kinder Time Toy Drive

Along with law enforcement agencies throughout the state, we visit neighborhoods and children in need to distribute toys.

Special Olympics

UMB Police Department officers volunteer as medal presenters to Special Olympians at the Maryland Special Olympics at Towson University.

National Night Out

During National Night Out, we encourage the University community and our Baltimore City neighbors to “take back the night” by coming to campus to learn about safety awareness and crime prevention.

National Police Week

UMB Police Department officers honor our fallen brothers and sisters during National Police Week at events held in Washington, D.C., and Baltimore.
