UMB Installment Plan

The UMB Installment Plan allows students to split their account balance into 2 or 3 equal monthly installments. You can include most university charges: tuition, fees, and health insurance. Prior past due balances must be paid in full and cannot be included in a current term plan.

  • The first installment and the administrative fee of $10 is due by the original semester bill due date.
  • If an installment is received 15 days after the due date, it is considered late and subject to a one-time late fee of $200 or 5% of the total account balance due, whichever is less.
  • Your initial agreement amount may vary from your current account balance, but you remain responsible for the total account balance. Students must ensure their total account balance is paid by the final due date listed on the installment agreement and adjust their plan amount accordingly for any changes in charges or additional aid received.
  • Students will not be permitted to register for a subsequent semester until their UMB account balance is paid in full.

To sign up for an installment plan, please email Student Financial Services at studentaccounthelp@umaryland.edu before the original due date of the bill.
