Counseling Program for UMB Students Living Overseas
The University of Maryland Baltimore is dedicated to caring for and maintaining the emotional wellbeing of all students near and far from campus. Students living outside of the United States have the opportunity to use the confidential BHS Student Assistance Program at no cost, for short-term counseling, 24/7 crisis counseling and well-being coaching. Services will be provided in the language of the selected country and can be accessed in multiple ways including email, phone and the iConnectYou app.
Support is provided by BHS, staffed by professionals who are completely independent of your organization. They are bound by professional standards regarding confidentiality, and do not disclose details of individuals who have contacted the service. Any information you share is at your discretion and will not be shared with your organization.
If you do not see your country of residence listed below, please contact Dr. Jenna Silverman, Executive Director of the Student Counseling Center, for additional information. You may email her at jsilverman@umaryland.edu
