Have an idea for a new international collaboration or partnership?
We can provide guidance and assistance in navigating the intricacies of setting up a new collaboration internationally. At the earliest stages of a collaboration, you may need help identifying partners, planning events, working with students, and otherwise preparing to collaborate. Contact the Center for Global Engagement.
In our guidance on International MoUs, you'll find a road map and assistance with the process of setting up an MoU between UMB and an international entity to support future collaborations such as student and faculty exchanges, joint conferences, and/or research projects.
In our guidance on Setting up a New International Presence, you can find information on registering or doing business in another country.
Not exactly sure what you need or whom to talk to? No problem! Email the Global Hub and we'll help you figure it out.
Evaluating Potential International Partners
If you’re considering collaborating with an international partner, review the Considerations for Successful and Sustainable International Partnerships to help you evaluate aspects of the partnership, including the organization’s funding, personnel, financial systems, internal controls, and experience working with international partners and students.
In addition, review the UMB’s Global Program Guiding Principles. All UMB global programs should embody these principles: social justice-focused, accessible, ethical, innovative, and sustainable.
