Stress and Anxiety Management

Anxiety Toolbox - Psychoeducational Groups

Do you want to learn new strategies to manage stress and anxiety? Or maybe be more consistent with coping skills for difficult situations? The Anxiety Toolbox groups are three weekly, one-hour skill-based sessions offered this semester to help you better understand anxiety and how to change your thinking and behavior to reduce it. Participants are encouraged to attend all three sessions, as each session builds on information from previous meetings. To accommodate students’ schedules, the workshops will be offered at two different start dates in the spring 2019 semester:

 

Anxiety Toolbox Session (Wednesday group):

Wednesdays, February 20, February 27, and March 6 from 1:15 pm to 2:15pm (Holden)

Anxiety Toolbox Session (Tuesday group)

Tuesdays, March 12, March 26, and April 2 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Turner)

This is an informational and applied skills group. It is not a counseling group. For more information or to register, please email Mr. Holden at pat.holden@umaryland.edu for the Wednesday group.  Email Dr. Turner at mturner@umaryland.edu for the Tuesday group. 

 

Drop-In Stress Management Information Sessions

ALL STUDENTS are welcome!  No registration is required. 

Come by a Drop-In Stress Manangement session to: learn techniques for improving sleep, assess your self-care routine, and create your personal stress management plan.
