UMB Police Officer Requirements:
- 21-plus years old
- United States citizen
- Vision must be 20/100 (Snellen) or better in the weaker eye, with vision correctable to 20/30 in each eye and wear corrective lenses, if needed
- No felony conviction
- Demonstrate physical ability to perform job responsibilities
- Successfully complete reading and writing skills assessment
- Work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, on call, and as needed
- Possess and maintain a valid Maryland driver’s license
Physical Agility Test
Finalists are required to complete a pass/fail physical evaluation:
- 1.5-mile run
- Push-ups (one minute)
- Bent-leg sit-ups (one minute)
- Sit and reach
- Slide pull
