Sphere of Operations

Facilities and Operations is responsible for procuring materials, maintaining, renovating, and servicing the buildings, grounds, sidewalks, and utility infrastructure on the 71 acre Baltimore city campus. The campus includes over 60 buildings containing more than 6.9 million gross square feet of space. Facilities and Operations also provides maintenance and custodial services to the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center (MPRC) facilities, as well as design and construction services to auxiliary facilities located at the Donaldson Brown Conference Center in Cecil County, Maryland. The Regional Service Center within Facilities and Operations provides capital project management and/or procurement services to the UMB campus and other University System of Maryland institutions in the region including Towson University, the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, the University of Baltimore, and Coppin State University.
