Mission

We provide short-term, professional counseling and psychiatric services for currently enrolled full-time and part-time UMB students. Our mission is to help promote and maintain the emotional well-being of UMB students and serve as a resource to the entire university community.

Administrative Staff

Carvella A. Hudson (she/her/hers)
Executive Administrative Assistant
Ms. Hudson is the first person that will greet and speak with staff /students upon coming to the counseling center. When not at the counseling center, Ms. Hudson enjoys reading, dancing and exercising.

Tierra Major Kearney, MS (she/her/hers)
Senior Referral and Prevention Specialist
Mrs. Major Kearney assists UMB students by providing mental health programming and connecting students with local mental health providers for long term care. When not at the counseling center, she enjoys reorganizing her home and creating holistic remedies for selfcare.
