Kristen Harris
Security officer Kristen Harris says she has been with "the UMB Family" for 27 years. "I love public safety," she says. "I love helping others and making a difference."
Harris joined the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) after serving in the U.S. military. Her positive attitude is reflected in her excellent customer service.
"I enjoy meeting fellow security officers and UMB employees and establishing long, healthy relationships," says the security officer.
Over the past 27 years, Harris has learned about the many resources available at UMB, like the department's Safe Walk/Safe Ride. She encourages incoming students and employees to learn about and utilize the resources available to them, which will improve their time at UMB.
Outside of work, Harris enjoys traveling. She also shared that she's excited to finally become a grandma! Congratulations, security officer Harris!
