2023 UMBrella Symposium
“Innovative Leadership: Envisioning the Possibilities”

The University of Maryland, Baltimore and UMBrella celebrate Women’s History Month to commemorate the pioneering, courageous women of our past and to honor the equally heroic women of today who propel this University, our state, nation, and world toward true equality, inclusion, and opportunity.

This year’s UMBrella Symposium was a daylong event — part virtual, part in-person — designed to help attendees harness innovation to put their leadership skills and new possibilities into practice.

Jennifer B. Litchman, MA, senior vice president for external relations, UMB, and founder and chair, UMBrella, discussed the theme of the event by saying, “There’s still much more work to be done. And that’s why we’re here today. Today is all about envisioning the possibilities for innovative leadership and putting those possibilities into practice.”
