UMBrella Coaching Program

The UMBrella Group, in collaboration with Human Resource Services, offers the UMBrella Coaching Program which aims to engage women and those who identify as women in a rich program complete with supportive coaches, networking opportunities, and exclusive activities designed to enhance the coaching experience. 

Since launching in 2017, over 200 women have participated in the program. The program's fourth cohort launched virtually in August 2021 with 60 participants representing schools and offices across campus. Each participant engages with a coaching group during monthly meetings to discuss career-related topics including self-promotion, leadership, and negotiation. This year’s program features program events, useful self-assessment tools, an UMBrella Mixer, panel discussions, and a closing ceremony in April 2022.

Eligibility: Current UMB Employees (Faculty and Staff)

Program Timeline: September 2021 - April 2022 (Cohort 4)

Application: Applications are no longer being accepted for Cohort 4. Check back in June 2022 for Cohort 5 details.

Program Format: Cohort 4 will operate virtually. Each coach may invite her group to meet in-person as participants are willing and able to do so. These decisions will be made within each coaching group to best suit the needs of everyone in the group.
