Tamika Tremaglio is a distinguished Maryland Carey Law graduate and chair of the school’s Board of Visitors. A visionary and service-oriented leader, she has championed initiatives that strengthen student wellness, mentorship, and institutional excellence. She also was a lead donor in establishing the Class of 1995 Scholarship, reflecting her commitment to expanding access for future law students.
As a Maryland Carey Law student, Ms. Tremaglio simultaneously pursued full-time Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees (the latter from the University of Baltimore), foreshadowing her trailblazing career at the intersection of business strategy, law, and organizational transformation.
Today, as managing director at Secretariat, Ms. Tremaglio brings more than three decades of experience advising Fortune 500 companies and major organizations across professional services, sports, media, and entertainment industries to lead the company’s global sports consulting practice.
Before joining Secretariat, she was executive director of the National Basketball Players Association and CEO of THINK450, the commercial arm of the players’ union. She led high-stakes negotiations, expanded player influence, and secured a groundbreaking collective bargaining agreement that increased salaries and benefits by $250 million in the first year and unlocked $50 billion in long-term value for NBA players. Her collective bargaining expertise also extended to advising on the 2020 collective bargaining agreement with WNBA players. Previously, she was managing principal for Deloitte’s Greater Washington area, overseeing 15,000 professionals across 17 offices.
Ms. Tremaglio has earned countless awards, honors, and recognition, including Sports Illustrated’s Power List, Washingtonian Magazine’s Washington’s 150 Most Powerful Women, iHeartRadio’s CEOs You Should Know, the Washington Business Journal’s 100 Most Influential People and C-Suite Managing Partner of the Year, and the Corporate Counsel Women of Color Excellence Award.
