Reserving the Community Engagement Center (CEC)
The CEC accepts reservation requests for events occurring Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Event hours must include setup and clean-up within that time frame.
Priority is generally given to events that are initiated by the local community, however, space requests are evaluated on an individual basis.
Priority of Events
- Community-initiated events that are free of charge and open to the public
- UMB-initiated events with a community benefit that are free of charge and open to the public
- Community-initiated events that have a fee and are open to the public
- UMB-initiated events that have a fee and are open to the public
- Private events
Request Space at the CEC
For a one-time event, complete the CEC One-Time Space Request Form. Submissions will be carefully reviewed on Fridays at 3 p.m. Approvals and denials will be provided by email by close of business the following Tuesday.

- The BioPark garage is available to visitors for a fee. Check rates here. The entrance is located at 1 N. Poppleton St., Baltimore, MD 21201.
- Street Parking: There is a mix of free and metered parking on S. Poppleton Street, West Baltimore Street, West Fayette Street, and Hollins Street. Please note, some free parking is limited to 2 hours.
