Faculty and Employee Reports

UMB publishes annual Faculty and Employee Reports that provide detailed information on workforce composition over time. These reports include data on faculty and staff headcount, employment categories, and demographic characteristics.

The reports are used to track institutional trends, support planning and reporting, and provide transparency on the composition of UMB’s workforce.

Fall 2025 employment totals 7,933 and includes 2,050 full-time and 1,074 part-time faculty.

Faculty

(includes employees with faculty rank holding administrative positions of dean, associate dean, and assistant dean)

  • 66% of faculty are full time
  • 20% of non-adjunct faculty are tenured or tenure-track
  • 57% of faculty are female
  • 41% of faculty are minority
