Shannon Tucker

Shannon Tucker, PHD, MS, CPHIMS, is the assistant dean of instructional design and technology and an affiliate assistant professor at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, where she supervises educational technology integration and academic application development and supports academic operations and program development in addition to teaching course work in professional communication strategies.

An active member of EDUCAUSE, Tucker is a former recipient of the Jane N. Ryland Fellowship for leadership development in information technology, regularly participates as a program reviewer for EDUCAUSE conferences, and mentors instructional designers and technologists through the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative.

She earned a master’s degree in interface design and information architecture from the University of Baltimore and a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Tucker completed her dissertation for a doctorate in instructional technology at Towson University.
