Niya Werts is the Graduate Program Director for the Masters of Science in Health Science at the UMB Graduate School. She previously served as the Graduate Program Director for the Masters of Science of Health Science at Towson University. In her work in graduate and continuing education, Dr. Werts has served multiple roles including lead continuing education coordinator for non-profit and private sector businesses, and as a distance- education accreditation specialists. During her time with the University of Maryland System, she has served as the project manager and primary advisor for several community health promotion initiatives including the Community Health Awareness Monitoring Program (CHAMP), and the Maryland Department of Health’s Kids in Safety Seats Program at Towson University.  She has also run her own Asian bodywork and wellness business for over 15 years.
