The Staff Senate is accepting financial donations for our current outreach project.
Community Outreach Committee Goals for 2018-2019
One of our favorite and most successful community projects is the Back-to-School supply drive. We have big blue donations totes placed in every school and several administration buildings collecting back-to-school supplies for the UMB partner elementary schools on Baltimore’s Westside.
Throughout the next year, we also will continue to volunteer our time and resources in collaboration with Ashley Valis, Robin Saunders, Bill Joyner, and Brian Sturdivant to enhance the work of the UMB Community Engagement Center and the CURE Scholars program.
We will be announcing other projects during the year in The Elm.

The Staff Senate Community Outreach Committee will again be hosting a toy drive to support The Christmas Store at the UMB Community Engagement Center for the holiday season. Donations of new toys, along with financial contributions, will be collected through Dec. 8, 2018. The Christmas Store provides a unique opportunity where parents can purchase brand-new gifts at a price they can afford, giving the parents a sense of dignity and joy. All proceeds from the items purchased are donated to organizations that support youth in Southwest Baltimore.
