The Staff Senate is accepting financial donations for our outreach projects at our new secure page.
Community Outreach Committee Goals for 2016 – 2017 Year
One of our favorite and most successful community projects is the Back-to-School supply drive. We have big blue donations totes placed in every school and several administration buildings collecting back-to-school supplies for the UMB partner elementary schools on Baltimore’s Westside.
We will deliver school supplies to our eight Baltimore City partner schools:
- George Washington
- Southwest Baltimore Charter
- Franklin Square
- Furman Templeton Prep Academy
- Samuel Coleridge-Taylor
- Booker T. Washington
- James McHenry
- Harlem Park
- Green Street Academy
Donations will be collected, sorted, and delivered after the Memorial Day weekend.
Throughout the next year we also will continue to volunteer our time and resources in collaboration with Ashley Valis, Robin Saunders, Bill Joyner, and Brian Sturdivant to enhance the work of the UMB Community Engagement Center and the CURE Scholars program.
The UMB Staff Senate Community Outreach Committee is holding a drive to benefit the patients at the Baltimore VA Medical Center.
