Dear Stakeholders,
As we approach the beginning of 2025, we would like to provide you with an important update on the QHCM Project. Your engagement and investment in this project have been invaluable, and we want to ensure you are informed about the latest developments.
Project Timeline Extension
We have decided to extend the QHCM Project timeline, which will directly impact the system’s go-live date. Several factors were considered in making this decision, and we would like to share them with you now, with more details to follow as we start of the new year.
Reasons for the Extension
It is critical that the new system provides complete and enhanced functionality that meets UMB’s requirements. From the very start of this project, Oracle’s Labor Distribution functionality has been an area of focus. The project team had identified potential gaps that needed to be filled in this area and worked diligently with our stakeholder groups to understand those gaps and identify potential solutions for how they could be filled.
The team needs additional time to continue to explore additional options and technology that will enable us to develop a complete solution that will meet UMB’s needs. We will continue to work with stakeholders during the additional time to ensure that the system we deliver provides users with the necessary tools to perform their jobs efficiently.
The QHCM Project Team has already begun exploring alternative solutions for the Labor Distribution gap and will continue this work through the first couple of months of 2025. Our goal is to provide a more accurate projection for the system’s go-live date in early 2025.
Benefits of the Extension
The timeline extension will allow the QHCM Project Team to:
- Deliver a robust system that better meets UMB’s requirements
- Provide more time for training preparations
- Offer the UMB Community more opportunities to become familiar with the upcoming changes before training
- Provide detailed information that will enable departments to strategically plan for future state business operations
More information about the timeline extension will be shared in monthly stakeholder meetings after the start of the new year. Our commitment to transparency remains strong, and we will keep you informed as developments evolve.
If you have any questions related to this update, please reach out to QHCM project directors Chiradeep Mukherjee and Stacy Long.
Thank you for being a part of the QHCM Project journey with us. We look forward to continuing our partnership with you.
