Welcome to the Office of the Provost at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). It is a privilege to serve as interim provost and to work alongside our deans, faculty, staff, and students to advance UMB’s mission of improving the human condition and serving the public good.
The Office of the Provost supports academic excellence across UMB’s seven schools. Guided by our core values and strategic plan, we work to strengthen academic programs, support faculty development and advancement, and ensure that students have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. We also foster collaboration across disciplines, connecting our expertise in education, research, clinical care, and community engagement to address the needs of the communities we serve.
