  The UMB Core Values Speaker Series promotes the values of Respect and Integrity, Well-Being and Sustainability, Equity and Justice, and Innovation and Discovery. National and international leaders come to UMB to talk about their expertise and experiences to a broad University/ communitywide audience.

• Founders Week

  

  UMB celebrates its students, faculty, and staff and pays tribute to its long history each year with a series of Founders Week events.

• Graduation

  

  UMB held a large and festive celebration for all graduates and their family members on May 15, 2024.
  

• Holiday Craft Fair

  

  Each year, vendors and the UMB community gather for a fun-filled event at the SMC Campus Center. 

• President’s Panel on Politics and Policy

  

  This speaker series examines issues important to the UMB community that are likely to be affected by the current presidential administration and Congress. 

• Women's History Month Symposium

  

  UMB celebrates Women’s History Month to commemorate the pioneering, courageous women of our past and to honor those who are continuing the legacy of these incredible women to propel this University, our state, nation, and world toward true equality, inclusion, and opportunity.

  Join UMB President Bruce Jarrell and a small group of students, faculty, and staff members for lunch and a conversation on current events or topics of interest. Registration is first-come, first-served.

  President Jarrell gives updates on UMB news and events, then answers questions. 

• Virtual Face to Face

  

  Virtual Face to Face is an online interview program where President Jarrell explores issues of interest with experts from UMB, government and health officials, and others.
