Comprehensive curriculum
Gain in-depth knowledge and skills for medication abortion, patient counseling, and managing post-abortion care with confidence and compassion. Our fellows also gain exposure to procedural abortion care.
Flexible training
Our curriculum is a combination of online and in person learning. The online training is completed asynchronously over 6 weeks, allowing fellows to learn at their own pace. . The program concludes with a required in-person, two-day-long training that includes standardized patient visits to equip learners with the skills needed to immediately begin providing safe and supportive care.
Learn in-person from experienced faculty and leading professionals in the field who will guide you through the latest practices, protocols, and evidence-based approaches to abortion care.
Post Program Mentorship and Ongoing Support
Fellows gain the clinical knowledge needed to deliver abortion care, but are also supported through their transition to practice integration. Fellows are paired with faculty members for one-on-one mentorship in the year following their completion of the training phase. Mentorship can include discussions about integration, clinical care, and support for developing new roles as abortion care providers. Fellows also have access to technical support when needed to troubleshoot barriers to implementation.
Stipend
MARCH receive a taxable $4,000 stipend for their completion of the program.
