Assistant Vice President for International Operations
Anna Schowengerdt (she/her) is an experienced leader of international programs, teams, and functions. Her functional areas of specialization, gained through 25 years in the foreign assistance sector, include project and award management, humanitarian aid, country office operations, and new business development. She has led strategic planning and execution, program delivery, emergency response, institutional revenue growth, and business process transformation to help save lives, improve livelihoods, and strengthen systems that serve those in need.
She lived and worked for seven years in Liberia, Uganda, and Iraq and has held short-term assignments in 11 other countries. Anna holds an M.A. in International Affairs from the University of Denver and a B.A. from Whitworth University.
