In partnership with the Center for Global Engagement (CGE), International Operations works to ensure seamless support of UMB’s global activities through the Global Hub by providing specialized support to UMB units in international travel, safety and security, procurement, finance, human resources, compliance, and other operational areas.

International Operations also:

• Sets UMB standards for international operations and oversees operational compliance.
• Provides specialized services to UMB units that may require support for international shipping and export compliance, audit, and ethics-related matters in addition to the other core operational areas listed above. 
• Activates the Maryland Global Initiatives Corporation (MGIC) when appropriate
• Facilitates and promotes robust risk management across all international operations.
