New Employees

Attention New Hires

The Federal W-4, State Tax Withholding, and Direct Deposit forms for all new hires must be mailed to the Central Payroll Bureau (CPB) at P.O. Box 2396, Annapolis, MD 21404. 

  • The form must have an original signature. The form will need to be printed, hand-signed with a black pen, and mailed.
    • IMPORTANT: All payroll forms (e.g., Direct Deposit form, W-4 and W-9 forms) should be typed and only the signature can be wet handed.
  • The documents must be legible and clear.
  • Each form must be complete and sent on a standard letter size page.
  • You should keep a copy of every form mailed on file.
  • The forms should be submitted within the first week of hire.
  • Please be advised that if the Federal W-4 and State Tax Withholding forms are not submitted, you will be taxed at the highest rate.
  • These forms also provide your official address to CPB. This is where your first check will be mailed.
  • Please be advised that direct deposit may take up to 3 pay periods to process.

Foreign Nationals Glacier packet including W4 and 8233 forms will still need to be sent via US Postal Service to Payroll.

Onboarding plans and intake plans during inclement weather or an emergency

In the event of inclement weather or an emergency, the following applies:

  • If the campus opens at 9 a.m., please arrive at 9 a.m.
  • If the campus has a 2-hour delayed start, please arrive at 10 a.m.
  • If the campus is closed or opens at 11 a.m. or later, onboarding will take place on the next business day.
