New Employees

ATTENTION NEW HIRES

Effective immediately, the Federal W-4, State Tax Withholding, and Direct Deposit forms for all new hires may be submitted via email.  The instructions are as follows:

  • The form must have an original signature. Electronic signatures will not be accepted. The form will need to be printed, hand-signed, and scanned to email.
  • The documents must be legible and clear.
  • Each form must be complete and sent on a standard letter size page.
  • Email forms to CPBOPS@umarylandtaxes.gov.
  • The forms contain confidential information such as Social Security number and bank account number so they should be sent via Accellion Secure File Transfer:  https://securexfer.umaryland.edu/courier/web/1000@/wmLogin.html.
  • The sender needs to keep a copy of every form emailed on file.

Foreign Nationals Glacier packet including W4 and 8233 forms will still need to be sent via US Postal Service to Payroll.

Onboarding plans and intake plans during inclement weather or an emergency

In the event of inclement weather or an emergency, the following applies:

  • If the campus opens at 9 a.m., please arrive at 9 a.m.
  • If the campus has a 2-hour delayed start, please arrive at 10 a.m.
  • If the campus is closed or opens at 11 a.m. or later, onboarding will take place on the next business day.
