Faculty and staff are able to request additional funding to sustain initiatives that provide interprofessional opportunities to students.

IPE Faculty Awards

IPE Faculty Awards are offered every other month starting in January.

UMB faculty and staff from the schools of dentistry, medicine, nursing, and pharmacy will work with interprofessional student groups that will be completing introductory interprofessional education content through six modules (three face-to-face and three online, delivered via Blackboard) during the fall and spring semesters.

IPEC Institutes

The Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) hosts faculty teams for their Institutes.

The goal of the IPEC is to prepare future health professionals (dentistry, nursing, medicine, osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, and public health) for enhanced, team-based care of patients. The Core Competencies for Interprofessional Collaborative Practice: 2016 Update was created to guide curriculum development across health profession schools.
