Inclement Weather and Emergency Plan

The inclement weather and emergency plan is designed to ensure the safety of our patrons. This plan is subject to change based on situational severity. Program cancellation will depend upon the time that the closure/delay is announced.

Weather and emergency closure notices will be updated on the URecFit and Wellness website and social media accounts.

If the University closes early ▾

If the University states an advanced closure notice, URecFit and Wellness will close 30 minutes prior to the announced closing time. For example, at noon, the University announces it will close at 5 p.m., URecFit and Wellness will close at 4:30pm. 

If the University opens late ▾

If the University announces a delayed opening before we open, URecFit and Wellness will open at the time announced. 

If the University announces a delayed opening after URecFit and Wellness opens, no further patrons will be allowed to enter URecFit and Wellness. The patrons currently in the facility must leave all URecFit and Wellness spaces 1 hour after the delayed opening announcement. For example, the University announces at 6:05 a.m. that it will open at 9 a.m. URecFit and Wellness access will cease at 6:05 a.m., all patrons must exit the facility by 7:05 a.m. 

If the University closes for the day ▾

If the University closes before URecFit and Wellness is open, URecFit and Wellness will close for the day.

If the University announces it is closed after URecFit and Wellness is open, no further patrons will be allowed to enter URecFit and Wellness. The patrons currently in the facility must leave all URecFit and Wellness spaces 1 hour after the closure announcement. For example, the University announces at 6:10 a.m. that it will be closed for the day; URecFit and Wellness access will cease at 6:10 a.m. and all patrons must exit the facility by 7:10 a.m.
