What’s something you’ve accomplished on the Staff Senate during your time as a Senator?
I enjoyed working on the Staff Senate communications committee and was glad to help with a refresh of the Staff Senate website.
What’s a fun vacation that you’ve taken or would like to take?
A few years ago, my husband Jim and I camped in Utah's five national parks: Zion, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands, and Capitol Reef. It was incredible to see such natural beauty. I came away with a deeper sense of the smallness and brevity of my life in the scheme of things--a helpful perspective!
What’s your most prized possession and why?
Many of the plants in my garden are transplants from the gardens of my favorite people--columbine from my friend Elizabeth, Solomon's seal from my friend Heather, and Lenten roses from my former boss Judson. I love that they are a living reminder of how we are all connected to one another and to the earth that sustains us.
What’s the theme song to your life?
"Vivir mi Vida" by Marc Anthony stirs my soul and gets me dancing.
