What’s something you’ve accomplished on the Staff Senate during your time as a Senator?
As a new senator, I’d like to be a voice on campus that helps build stronger connections among staff, students, faculty, and the surrounding UMB community. My goal is to help strengthen UMB’s community presence and continue bridging relationships that support both the campus and those we serve.
What’s a fun vacation that you’ve taken or would like to take?
I’ve had many memorable vacations—Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Chicago are two of my favorites to revisit. Chicago is my second favorite U.S. city (for the food, the architecture… and did I mention the food?). Baltimore will always be my first. This year, I’m excited to be traveling to Asia, though I’m not looking forward to the long flight!
What’s your most prized possession and why?
My most prized possession is my dog, Fergie. She has been with me through many life transitions and is a constant source of love and grounding. She reminds me every day to slow down and stay present.
What’s the theme song to your life?
The theme song to my life would be “Champion” by Kanye West.
