What’s something you’ve accomplished on the Staff Senate during your time as a Senator?
As a first-time staff senator, one memorable accomplishment that stands out is being a part of the community engagement committee. During this year’s term I got to participate in the annual UMB Thanksgiving drive and the Polar Express. The experience was rewarding knowing I will be a part of the commitment UMB has with the community it serves. While blessing families during the holiday season.
What’s a fun vacation that you’ve taken or would like to take?
The best vacation on the books for me was a girl’s trip to Cancun Mexico, which I got to relax and shut my brain off. This year I will be taking my first cruise from Miami on a 7 Day Western Caribbean adventure.
What’s your most prized possession and why?
Family isn’t just an important thing; It’s everything. And my family is the most prized possession at this stage of my life. I’m blessed to have a strong support that nurtures me to be the best version of myself in whatever I do.
What’s the theme song to your life?
If I had to pick only one song it would be “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” by Roy Ayers. This song brings an energy that makes you want to smile and enjoy the relaxing mood of the instruments. It also makes me think and reflect knowing “Every day is new opportunity to shine."
