Our mission is to prepare health, law, and human services professionals to work collaboratively on interprofessional teams focused on improving the lives of people locally, nationally, and globally.

The center is a national leader in providing interprofessional education for health, law, and human services professionals that is grounded in best practices for educational innovation and assessment. A hallmark of the center is education that improves health care and human service delivery resulting in enhanced well-being.

Seed Grant Applications

The Center for Interprofessional Education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) is pleased to announce seed grant funding opportunities.  Applications for interprofessional grant projects are encouraged. Suggested themes include, but are not limited to, health equity, health literacy, simulation-based IPE and clinical-based IPE.

Sustaining Funds Applications

Due by April 10, 2026

The Interprofessional Education Center advances UMB’s vision for preparing all University students to provide high-quality, affordable health care and human services with a team-based model. Annually, the center will accept proposals for sustaining funds that support these interprofessional learning activities and will fund up to five (5) proposals.
