President Jarrell's Message

Interim President Bruce Jarrell

Dear UMB Community:

It’s hard to believe that for many of you, your time as a student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) will soon end. I know at the end of the academic year, our graduates will head out into the world to fulfill the mission for which we’ve prepared them: to improve the human condition and serve the public good.

This year we are celebrating the Class of 2024 with a festive event for all graduates and their family members on Wednesday, May 15, at a site to be determined. I look forward to joining Provost Roger Ward to confer degrees at individual school/department ceremonies.

More detailed information about the celebration and school/department ceremonies will follow as we get closer to the date. Please visit this website, which will serve as a repository of information to plan your celebration including the time and location of school/department ceremonies.

Keep up the good work, Class of 2024!

Sincerely,

Bruce E. Jarrell, MD, FACS
President
