Award Management supports UMB investigators from the time an award is received through project closeout. These processes ensure that sponsored funding—whether a grant, cooperative agreement, clinical trial, or corporate contract—is set up correctly, managed in compliance with sponsor and University requirements, and closed out appropriately.
At UMB, award management activities are handled by:
- Office of Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) for non-financial award management and reporting.
- Office of Sponsored Project Accounting and Compliance (SPAC) for award set-up in Quantum Financials and post-award financial activities. Contact SPAC with questions about award set-up, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Clinical Trials and Corporate Contracts (CTCC) for clinical trials and industry-sponsored agreements.
