Aneiri plans to create a “Global Perspectives on Family and Community Engagement in Community Schools” module to introduce students to global perspectives on family and community engagement within community school settings. Using a systems-informed lens, students examine how culture, relationships, and community partnerships influence educational success across diverse contexts. The module explores culturally responsive and restorative approaches that strengthen collaboration among families, schools, and communities while encouraging critical reflection on local practice. Rather than presenting one model as universally applicable, students compare international and domestic approaches to identify transferable principles that can inform ethical, equitable, and community-centered social work practice in schools.
