Revising "Essentials in Global Health" to Incorporate Global Mental Health Content

Dr. Nwogwugwu plans to revise the existing asynchronous course, "Essentials in Global Health," to incorporate comprehensive global mental health content. This course currently introduces students to global health concepts through case studies and literature reviews. Her envisioned enhancements include the integration of diverse case studies that reflect contemporary mental health challenges across various regions, incorporation of interdisciplinary perspectives from public health, medicine, nursing, and social sciences, and embedding current global mental health data and policy analyses.
