Grounded in research on faculty equity, climate, and advancement, a Faculty Excellence Network has been created to support the recruitment, retention, development, and overall success of faculty at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). The network brings together faculty from across the university to provide opportunities for community building, knowledge sharing, faculty mentoring, support, and collaboration.
Dr. Diane Forbes Berthoud, with UMB’s Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (OEDI), in collaboration with President Bruce E. Jarrell, MD, FACS, and the Office of the Provost, launched the Faculty Excellence Network in the Fall of 2022.
