We provide a full graphic design service to help you communicate your message. We can produce a variety of print and digital marketing materials for your promotions such as brochures, advertisements, magazines, flyers, invitations, posters, mailers, environmental graphics, digital graphics and more! 

Design Scheme/ Looks

While all areas are required to adhere to UMB branding guidelines when it comes to logo usage, there is an option to create a look for your area. A look is a design scheme that incorporates graphic images as part of the design while still utilizing the official University logo. These design schemes help make sure all communications are branded correctly, cohesive, and easily distinguishable from other University initiatives. When a design scheme is created, templates such as PowerPoint presentations, report documents, and more are created for the area to use. 

When you have been approved to work with the Office of Communications and Public Affairs to create a design scheme for your area, you will receive three initial designs. After selecting one design, you will be allowed to submit three rounds of revisions. Work beyond that is billable.

Before Submitting a Design Request: 

  • Have the name of your project. 
  • If you are looking for an estimate before we start the project, please select “yes” to the “this is an estimate” question. 
  • know the product you want (brochure, card, flyer, etc.).
  • What size do you want? This is the final size you would like your product to be. For example for web, a standard web slider is 740 x 400 pixels. (Please reference The Web Image Specifications Sheet for any sizing questions) For print, it would be the size of the paper you want to use. (8.5x11, half-letter, etc.)
  • Do you want us to design it?
  • Do you want our editorial staff to edit it?
  • Do you want a QR code on your product? If so, please provide a full website address (include the https://)
  • For the description, include a few sentences about what you would like to be displayed on the product. 
  • If you have an image in mind, attach it to the file uploads. If not, we can use a stock image (costs range from $10 to $33). Give us an idea of what type of image you are looking for. Note: This image should match the image used on any corresponding eboard.
  • Do you have any additional files you’d like us to reference?
  • Provide contact name, department, email, and phone number.
  • Provide payment information (project ID, source, organization, activity, purpose, function).

For Print Design

  • Paper preference (Cardstock, cover, lightweight
  • Print quantity (number you want printed)
  • Address for the prints to be delivered to. 
  • Please indicate if you are using your own printing services.

For Eboard Design 

Send us the following information in your design work request:

  • One to three sentences of text. Our editors will review this before we design the eboard. 
  • Include a URL if there is one and note if you want us to add a QR code to the eboard. 
  • If this is an event, please include the official title, date, time, and location.
  • If you have an image in mind, please send it along. If not, we can use a stock image (costs range from $10 to $33). Give us an idea of what type of image you’d like to use. 
  • Let us know in which buildings you want the eboard to run. 
  • Let us know the date range you want the eboard to run.
