Faculty Convocation

Faculty Convocation is an opportunity for the faculty from each of UMB’s schools to gather in fellowship with one another to celebrate the beginning of the academic year. This convocation is a newer tradition, first held during the start of the 2022-23 school year.

Save the date for the fourth annual convocation on September 11. The UMB convocation to celebrate the new academic year will feature faculty keynote speakers and recognition of the 2025 Distinguished University Professors. The event will be held on Koester’s Lot, in front of the Saratoga Building.

2022 Faculty Convocation

The 2022 Faculty Convocation, which can be viewed in its entirety in this video, welcomed faculty to a new academic year and recognized UMB’s Distinguished University Professors.
