UMB School-Led Community Engagement Initiatives
All of UMB's professional schools have a history of serving the Baltimore community. Many of our most well-known and respected community programs have been led by our students, faculty, and staff for decades.
UMB ICTR Community Engagement Highlights
Promise Heights programs include B'More for Healthy Babies, Parent University, Judy Center, Breath Mobile, and the Family Prosperity Program.
The Clinical Law Program provides legal services to individuals, families, and communities throughout Maryland.
Our Wellmobiles provide primary health care to uninsured and underserved residents across Central Maryland while serving as interprofessional clinical education sites.
The International Brain Bee (IBB) is a neuroscience competition for high school students. Its purpose is to motivate young men and women to learn about the human brain and to inspire them to enter careers in the basic and clinical brain sciences.
The PATIENTS Program leverages innovative partnerships to ensure that patients, health care providers, and other partners are actively engaged in research.
Offered as a public service by the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Mini-Med School is a series of tuition-free classes designed to help Baltimore residents improve their health and well-being.
