The Leaders in Education: Academy of Presidential Scholars (LEAPS) annual symposium celebrates and advances educational scholarship at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). Designed to inspire and support the next generation of educational scholars, the symposium features thought-provoking keynote speakers, faculty-led breakout sessions, and the presentation of the LEAPS Distinguished Educator Awards and Instructional Innovation Seed Grants.

New to the symposium is a call for poster presentations that highlight innovative research in teaching, learning, and education across the health, human services, and legal professions. This opportunity allows educators, researchers, and scholars to share their work, explore pedagogical innovations, and contribute to ongoing conversations around curriculum development, assessment, inclusivity, faculty and student development, and technology-enhanced learning.

Each year, the LEAPS symposium brings together a diverse educational community to exchange ideas, explore emerging practices, and build a culture of excellence and equity in teaching and learning.
