UMB Signs Memorandum of Understanding with University of Costa Rica

Dr. Bruce Jarrell signs an MOU in front of a screen with video from Costa RicaOn April 18, University of Maryland, Baltimore President Dr. Bruce Jarrell and Universidad de Costa Rica Rector Gustavo Gutiérrez Espeleta, PhD, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which will allow the two universities to collaborate on new programs.

The first result of the partnership is the Alicia and YaYa Global Fellowship in Aging Research, designed to recognize and support outstanding pre-doctoral and/or post-doctoral students pursuing aging research and to reinforce diversity in aging research.

The Fellowship was made possible by the support of Marco Chacon, PhD. Learn more about the inaugural Fellowship and apply by July 1.
