Dr. Jennifer Ann Zambriski
University of Maryland, College Park
Lecturer
Dr. Zambriski proposes to create a course, tentatively titled “Global Health in Practice: Systems, Equity, and One Health,” for undergraduate and graduate students in public health, pre-health, environmental sciences, and animal sciences. It will focus on how global health problems are influenced by interactions between people, animals, and ecosystems. Key modules will include topics such as antimicrobial resistance, emerging infectious diseases, climate-driven health impacts, food and water systems, and cross-sectoral policy responses. Students will engage in case-based learning, systems mapping, and analysis of real-world global health partnerships that utilize a One Health approach.
