David became a part of the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Office of the Fire Marshal team in 2026, serving as Fire Protection Engineer II. David has over 15 years of experience in fire prevention, code enforcement, emergency services, and community risk reduction. Previous experience includes working with the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office and Baltimore County Fire Department. David possesses many certifications in fire service, fire inspection, and emergency management. He has experience working with fire and life safety, plan review, inspections, public education, and emergency response. David is dedicated to helping to create a safer learning, research, and healthcare environment for the UMB community.
