• Educator Development for Growth and Effectiveness (EDGE)

The EDGE Fellowship is a 10-month professional development program offered by the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL) in partnership with the LEAPS initiative. Designed primarily for faculty in their first two years of teaching at UMB, EDGE is open to educators across all UMB schools and teaching contexts including clinical, classroom, and online environments.

Up to 15 fellowships of $1,500 are awarded annually to early-career UMB faculty. The 10-month program supports teaching effectiveness through cohort-based learning, peer feedback, coaching, and the development of instructional materials and teaching portfolios. Fellows complete a department-aligned project and participate in microteaching and mentoring sessions.
